⚖️ Legal Basis: This Cookie Policy is provided in compliance with:
  • Czech ePrivacy Act (Law No. 127/2005 Coll., Sections 5 and 9 on electronic communications)
  • EU ePrivacy Directive (2002/58/EC, as amended by 2009/136/EC)
  • Czech GDPR Implementation Act (Law No. 110/2019 Coll., Sections 13-14 on cookies)
  • GDPR (Regulation (EU) 2016/679, Chapter III on cookies and tracking)

1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files that are stored on your device (computer, tablet, or smartphone) when you visit our website. They help us recognize your device on repeat visits and understand how you use our site.

A cookie typically contains:

  • Name of the cookie
  • A value (unique identifier)
  • An expiration date
  • The domain that set the cookie

2. Types of Cookies We Use

2.1 Strictly Necessary Cookies (No Consent Required)

These cookies are essential for the website to function properly and are exempt from consent requirements under Czech ePrivacy Act (Law No. 127/2005 Coll., Section 9) because they serve a technical purpose that is absolutely necessary for website functionality. The ePrivacy Act explicitly exempts such "strictly necessary" cookies from the requirement to obtain prior consent.

Cookie Name Purpose Duration Provider
PHPSESSID Session identifier for tracking your browsing session and rate limiting abuse/spam. Prevents automated attacks and ensures fair access for all visitors. Also used to maintain form state across page navigation. Session (expires when you close your browser) Velenice Cottage

Technical Necessity: The PHPSESSID cookie is strictly necessary because:

  • It enables the booking form to maintain state as you navigate between pages
  • It implements rate limiting to prevent automated attacks and spam
  • It ensures fair resource allocation among visitors
  • Without it, the website would not function properly

2.2 Functional Cookies

Currently, we do not use functional cookies beyond the strictly necessary PHPSESSID session cookie.

2.3 Analytical Cookies

Currently, we do not use Google Analytics, Matomo, or other analytics tracking services that would require your consent. We do not collect behavioral analytics data.

2.4 Marketing/Advertising Cookies

We do not use marketing, advertising, or retargeting cookies. We do not partner with third-party advertising networks.

3. Other Tracking Technologies

3.1 Pixels and Web Beacons

We do not currently use tracking pixels, web beacons, or similar invisible tracking technologies.

3.2 Log Files

Our web server (Stableserver) automatically logs:

  • IP address
  • Browser type and version
  • Date and time of access
  • Requested pages
  • HTTP status codes
  • Referrer information

Retention: Server logs are retained for 90 days for security purposes (detecting intrusion attempts, spam, and abuse). After 90 days, logs are automatically deleted.

Legal Basis: Legitimate interest in maintaining website security and detecting unauthorized access attempts.

4. Third-Party Services

Email Hosting Provider: We use cPanel-hosted email through Stableserver, located in Frankfurt, Germany. When you email us at info@velenice.netwrks.cloud, your email is stored on EU servers and is subject to GDPR protections.
